You're viewing this page for one of two reasons: you know exactly what a colophon is, or you haven't the foggiest idea. For those of you who fall into the latter category, a colophon is, according to Dictionary.com, "An inscription placed usually at the end of a book, giving facts about its publication". The same definition can be applied to Web sites.
So, here we go.
We wanted something that was visually clean and 'fresh', yet something that has it's own identity and character - perhaps a bit more playful and approachable for the marketplace we're trying to reach. The color palate is simple in order to project a clean and refreshing stance we take in both the on and offline marketplace. The Web and Grafik logo is set in Arial Regular, and Felix Tiling Regular, and the browser text heierarchy is Lucida Grande, Verdana, Arial and sans-serif.
This site is authored in transitional XHTML; its presentational layer is controlled with Cascading Style Sheets. Some CSS layout techniques used here were custom jobs; some are inspired by the work of others. We have also developed a custom JavaScript that rotates our little “Nabisco” badge in the upper left corner, which rotates the slogan on a daily basis.
Some of the functionality of this site is driven by third party solutions. Our online payment mechanism is powered by PayPal, which allows companies to set up branded payment solutions.
We used all of these tools to varying degrees to produce this Web site:
